Concept Design for Blink

Grief presents itself in our lives in the most odd ways. For Sophie and Jonah their grief can be portrayed through their living space. Both characters come from a very distinct background which affects the way they choose to cope with the loss of each of their parents. East London presents itself through pale blue hues and yellow tones throughout their respective spaces. Jonah simplicity opposes Sophie’s clutter. Soon enough merging to create a shared space. Despite the play presenting itself as a love story between two peculiar beings, I see these characters reacting to each others actions as a coping mechanism after drastic life experiences.
