Drama 280B: Scenic Styles

Course Objective: A 10-week graduate-level course that further develops students’ knowledge of architectural styles for scenography. Students will learn about architectural styles between 3100 B.C.-1920s and the history behind the development of different styles. The goal is for students to use their knowledge of architectural styles and incorporate them into their scenic design concepts. Students will be challenged to complete one rendering once a week of an architectural style that they learned about in the past week. The use of traditional rendering, Procreate, and SketchUp is encouraged.
