As a child one yearns to grow up faster, be taken seriously, have the world’s respect. The older we get, the more we realize how nice it was to just be alive as a tiny human being. To see the world in a far more colorful manner, playing with our dolls or toy cars, making the most absurd sounds in order to create laughter all around. To breathe simply to breathe. No overthinking. No social cues to be constructed by. Nothing to stop you from being the most authentically distorted version of yourself.
Now all we are left with is a facade of pink hues and sweets to cope with the fact that we are no longer as naive as we once were yearning to be a small child with a big heart.
