Concept Design for The Fundamentals of Making Art

Lots of blue hues, pulled from rustic and bohemian-styled furniture pieces. I wanted the props and furniture to make an inviting space for the audience to feel like they were in a safe space and like they were about to be sharing intimate moments with the actors. The fundamentals of making art ask us, as artists, to completely allow ourselves to be vulnerable. The venue was small enough for the set pieces to bring this energy of vulnerability and peace across the floor.
